  We are going to our first birthday party. Tomorrow Mrs. Dazed and the kiddies are going to a birthday party for a 4 year old girl whose mom my wife works with. We have gone out to dinner with them before. Nice NORMAL people our age. It’s nice making friends away from the cult finally. Mrs. Dazed picked out some gifts for the birthday girl.

  Our daughter will be 1 in a few months and we’ll all be celebrating her birthday. My son turned 4 in December and at that time only he and I celebrated it. This will be the first year we all celebrate everything together as a family…Finally a normal life.

  No one who leaves "the truth" is ever happy?

  for years, i was told this..... " anyone who leaves the org is bitter, sad, and worse off, why do you think they come back???

  guess what guys i am the opposite, now i quit cold-turkey (looking back, i should have faded correctly) i am planning on going to the memorial this month just to hear all "the friends" tell me how much they missed me.

  since i have left the meetings, (jan. was my last meeting, i think).

  Leaving is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I’ve never been happier. Who ever says No one who leaves "the truth" is ever happy is just trying to convince themselves they are happy in their miserable existence as a cult member.

  Born in. I left about 14 years after being baptized. A total of 27 years wasted in the cult.

  here is what got my spidey senses tingling: paragraph 16, reference to daniel p mannix book, was wondering if his statement was mis-quoted so i did my research.......but was even more shocked when i saw this: .

  Anyone noticed a curiosity on the Memorial Invitation for 2013 ?

  i can't scan the memorial invitation for 2013, but i was looking at it today and noticed something curious on the front drawing.. we have jesus as the central figure of the composition.

  to his right and bottom, a large crown, in colour, of shiny happy people of diverse origins.. separated from this by the figure of jesus, is another group, a much smaller one, on the left and as if ascending to the top, and grayed.. clearly portrayed in this group is the face of ct russell and apparently william tyndale.

  but then, also sarah and abraham and other personalities of the ot seem to be represented there.

  Maybe its supposed to mean Jesus died for everyone, anointed and the great crowd? Thats what the wife thinks anyway... I would scan it but my scanner isnt working.

  Cobaltcupcake - I know exactly what you mean. When my wife and I first got married, I had a lot of them from my mom. By the second time we moved I threw them all out. I justified it because we had the CD Rom. My mom still has all the volumes from the 1970's to current. What a waste. This time throwing everything out actually means something for me.movin on....
